Two Tips to Follow if Your Wedding Guests Are Bringing Their Children

Blog

If a lot of the guests who'll be attending your wedding at a hotel have children, this advice might come in handy.

1. Ensure the hotel you select offers a childcare service

When looking at hotels that you feel could be suitable for use as a wedding venue, you should ensure that you only consider ones that provide a childcare service for their guests. Even if you are allowing children to attend the entire event, your guests who are parents might still appreciate being able to avail of this service while staying at this wedding venue.

For example, if the parents would like to stay up dancing until late at your reception, it could be useful for them to have access to a childcare service, that could provide their kids with a quiet, relaxing area of the hotel to stay in for a few hours whilst their mums and dads enjoy the reception. Likewise, if you are happy for the children to attend the reception but would prefer the infants and toddlers not to be at the ceremony (as there is a chance that these younger children might talk or cry loudly when you're trying to say your vows), having the wedding in a hotel that offers this service would mean that your guests who have babies or toddlers could meet this requirement quite easily.

2. Find out of the hotel can accommodate the children's dining requirements

You should ensure that hotel that you book can accommodate the dining requirements for everyone, including children. Younger kids may not be able to eat in the same way or consume the same foods, as the adult guests. For example, if you'd like to set a dining table in the hotel specifically for the children, you might need them to provide a slightly stouter table with child-sized chairs that will be comfortable for the kids to have their meals at.

Additionally, if the hotel will be handling the catering for your wedding, you should find out if the kitchen staff can make child-friendly versions of the sophisticated dishes you plan to serve at the wedding. For example, if you're serving steak tartare, you might want to ask for them to put some of the steak mince aside for the children and cook this for them (instead of serving it rare) before mixing it with the other spices and vegetables used in this dish.

Finding Your Dream Hotel

If you are planning a holiday or a business trip, you will need to find a hotel. However, staying in any old hotel could really ruin your trip. For example, if the noise levels are too high, you may not be able to get a good night of sleep. When looking for your dream hotel, it pays to know what to look out for. I didn't have a clue about how to find a dream hotel. However, all of that changed when I was introduced to a man who books hotels for VIPs. He gave me lots of useful information which I would like to share with you.
